FINDING YOUR PERFECT SHADE FOR VALENTINE'S DAY

Valentines Day should feel like a special day; whether it be spending it with loved ones or simply on your own. You should still take that day to love yourself and treat yourself right.
I thought it would be fun to pick out some of my favourite lipstick shades that are suitable for every occasion when it comes to Valentines Day, whether that be the redest red or a soft, but sexy, nude tone.

I'm not a massive fan of lip glosses since they are a bit of a pain on a day-to-day basis. With long hair, as soon as the wind blows, all your hair ends up stuck to your mouth. They're fine as long as you don't want to go outside or eat, or drink. So perfect for doing nothing. HOWEVER, Valentines Day wouldn't be Valentines Day without a super glossy option.  The 'Tanya Burr Berry Picking' is a beautiful dark red with ultimate shine; I don't think I've ever seen anything so pretty.

Pink is one of my favourite colours so it was a Valentines MUST. The 'Maybelline Rose Rush 940' matte finish lipstick is beautiful. It's the perfect soft pink that doesn't dry out when you apply it. I wore it recently in my dungaree dress post and have been wearing it a lot over the past few weeks. It's an old favourite of mine which I have rediscovered and I love it even more than the first time. Although it is really pink and maybe isn't for everyone, I think its very wearable and buildable, whether you want a strong lip or a more natural healthy colour to your lips. Perfect for Valentines Day.

'Rimmel Kate Moss 107', where to begin. I must've mentioned this lipstick a million times before, but it will always be one of my favourite go-to lipsticks. It is the perfect berry tone. Rimmel have really got it right with their formulation and drugstore wise, I think they're the best lipsticks you can buy. Super creamy and moisturising yet still managing to be matte. If you can't get away with a bold lip for Valentines Day, when can you?! A must have for your lipstick collection!

Another 'Rimmel Kate Moss' lipstick which is perfect for the more subtle but sexy nude look is the shade 43. I have worn this lipstick to death as you can see. Out of all the nude shades I own this is my favourite. Personally, wearing a red tone is a must for Valentines Day, but if you want a more toned down look then this is the shade for you. I love it and will continue to repurchase! Again, the formulation is amazing and is a nice alternative to the matte nude lip that's in fashion at the moment.

'Rimmel Kate Moss 22'... What can I say. If you want a red then here is the most red you could ever get. Unlike 107, this is much more of a orangey-toned red, but still as beautiful. Admittedly I don't wear this that much just because I prefer a less orangey toned red for this time of the year, but this is 100% wearable for Valentines Day.

Finally, slightly more high end is the 'Estee Lauder 86 Tiger Eye' lipstick. I wore this a lot over Christmas because a colour like this I feel is for special occasions. However, this metallic, more shiny look, is very on trend at the moment so it's much more wearable. I like this shade more compared to other colours, because it looks really nice when blended in with a red and nude.

Lipstick is one of the girliest things you can buy and nothing makes me feel better and more feminine that treating myself to a new beautiful lipstick. Whether you're going solo for Valentines or spending it with a loved one or loved ones, make yourself feel good. Treat yourself! You deserve it!

I hope your day is filled with love. Happy Valentines Day!

Lots of Love, Becky xox
