I'm lucky enough to live in one of the most beautiful places in the world. I think you take it for granted 99.9% of the time but as soon as you are blessed with a little bit of sunshine, I suddenly feel inspired to visit some of the local areas and really begin to appreciate it. I live in Herefordshire but living only 15 minutes away from the Forest of Dean in Gloucestershire I decided this was the day to go out and visit those places you never seem to get round to visiting on your doorstop.
The first place me and Liam visited was Mallards Pike. As soon as we got out of the car it really started to feel like summer. Seeing people canoeing, having picnics and walking their dogs whilst eating ice creams. It's what I wait all year to do. I love winter but there is nothing better than being able to enjoy the sun without having to worry about it raining.
The next place we visited was Wenchford. There is no other way to describe this place other than it being like you're in a fairytale. It's so peaceful and relaxing. It's nothing too complex but it doesn't always have to be! It's a lovely little area with a stream running through it at lots of different levels, no deep water which is good so its not too big of an issue if you slip off the stones whilst exploring! It's just such a beautiful area surrounded with so much greenery and nature. It's the perfect BBQ destination and ideal if you just want to get some fresh air and enjoy the limited summer days we get here in the UK!
