THE PERFECT LAST MINUTE CHRISTMAS GIFT

Christmas is my favourite time of the year, however, it can also be a little stressful when it comes to sorting out gifts. I am probably the worst person when it comes to presents as I tend to leave it all to the last minute every single year without fail and I don't think I will EVER learn.

Being a student and not having a big budget for presents, I decided this year to make it a little bit more personal and make some really quick and easy Christmas pudding Rice Krispie cakes. Ideal for last minutes gifts too! An added bonus is that they're pretty hard to get wrong! Simple but extremely effective. If you can't be childish at Christmas when can you be?!

What You'll Need..

 - 50g Unsalted Butter-
- 180g Marshmallows-
- 100g Rice Krispies-
- 200g Milk Chocolate-
- 100g White Chocolate-
- Holly Leaf Decorations (available from Sainsburys and Morrisons)-

How To Do It..

1. Melt the milk chocolate and butter in a bowl over a pan of boiling water (low heat).

2. Once both have melted, remove from the heat and stir in your marshmallows until they've melted.

3. Add the Rice Krispies in with your mixture and stir in well.

4. Time to get your hands dirty! Once your mixture has cooled a bit, grab a hand full and roll it into a ball. This can be whatever size you like, I wanted mine to be fairly big!

5. Place them on some greaseproof paper and leave to cool in the fridge for about 30 - 60 minutes depending on their size.

6. Once your Christmas Puddings have set, melt your white chocolate over a pan of boiling water (low heat). Once it's melted either using a piping bag or just a teaspoon, put a small/medium blob of white chocolate on your Christmas Pudding. It will probably run down the sides but I think thats ok and adds to it! Adds that homemade feel!

7. You'll need to add your holly decorations straight away as the white chocolate will set fairly fast. If you can't get any holly decorations you can make your own using icing and food colouring. It's just a little bit more hassle but will work just as well if not better!

8. Once you've added white chocolate and your holly you're pretty much done! You can set them in the fridge if you need them to set fast or you can leave them out to set over time. They're best left out of the fridge so they're nice and soft rather than cold.

I hope this helps you if you're in need of a last minute Christmas gift, or even if you just want a yummy treat for yourself!

I hope you all have a magical Christmas and a happy New Year!

See you in 2017,

Lots of Love, Becky xox
