It's finally starting to feel like Spring. Everything is just starting to come to life again! I love this time of the year, since everyone is so much happier in themselves after having survived the dullest months of the year, January and February.
When we finally hit March I begin to think about having a good Spring clean of my wardrobe. I ended up donating two bags of clothes to charity last week and it's not until it's done that you realise you have so many treasures that are waiting to be worn. Throughout Winter I get extremely frustrated with clothes. I love jumpers, don't get me wrong, but I hate having to cover everything up with big coats and scarves; you might as well just be wearing a bin bag underneath, no one would even know. Spring is the time of year when everything becomes a lot more wearable, the pretty tops and coats start appearing in all shops and the more practical stuff hides at the back. I know that living in the UK means there is no guarantee that the sun will stay out for long but even so, I took the opportunity to wear a really cute and colourful Spring feeling outfit.
This is one of my favourite outfits at the moment, mainly because the bright combinations of colour work so well together. Wearing bold colours isn't something I'm scared to do, but in Winter I do tend to get a bit boring and predictable with my fashion and stick to your typical greys and blacks with a red lip. The best part for me has to be the socks! I never knew a person could love a pair of socks so much until I purchased these. Pink and red together should be so wrong, but I love it! Who would've thought a bit of sun and a nice pair of socks would make me much more positive! I know it's probably going to be raining by the time I actually get round to posting this, but I wanted to embrace the weather whilst I could as it really inspired me to dig deep into my wardrobe and wear something fun rather than something practical. I know practical doesn't always have to mean boring, but it was so nice being able to go out and need your sunglasses rather than an umbrella, even if it was just for a day.
